Online Social Media Classes! During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve never stopped giving teenagers the media literacy and action-taking skills they need to be successful. Courses include social media strategy & management, media relations, and entrepreneurship. Get ready to create share-worthy content for local business owners; these courses will teach youth participants how to use social media beyond entertainment but as a future occupation. Business owners never have time to fully understand the latest social media youth in every continent have become lucrative social media influencers for small and national companies. Learn the key social media specialisms, including social campaign management, audience engagement, and content marketing.
The Youth Social Media Marketing summer program is a six-week virtual course featuring weekly interactive self-paced online e-learning modules combined with virtual cohort peer assignments and presentations.

This course is available via our Virtual Classrooms, for Remote participation. (Learn and participate anywhere you can access the internet).

Program Student Requirements
No relevant experience necessary. No prior education in marketing or business.
Must be 16 to 24 years of age or older (out-of-state, international, and local students are welcome).
Must speak, read and write the English language.
Must have a computer with access to internet service, the student must be able to attend e-learning courses, complete online peer assignments, participate in virtual peer study group/presentation.
Approximate Time requirements per week:
7 Hours: (Approximate time - Actual time is based on how efficiently you work)

The Youth Social Media Marketing Program at the Hired In Michigan Career Institute holds a competition open to program student teams comprised of 5 students. The competition students will encourage Marketing Business Innovation and Social Marketing Innovation.
Are you a student ready to take the challenge of innovating business marketing in a totally different way using traditional business marketing and unique business social media marketing to build the brand of a business offline and online. Students will need to pitch their business marketing ideas in a 15-minute video group presentation by Saturday, August 26, 2022.
